Women's Ministry

Our purpose is to reach all the women of the church with a program of education and opportunity for Christian service. We aim to develop and maintain Christian work among women and children at home and abroad.

This department is directly concerned with promoting the development of our women through:

Cultivating Christian Family Life

Involving the women in the church on behalf of the needy, childhood and community welfare.

Assisting in the promotion of the missionary spirit and the spirit of evangelism throughout the church.

Cooperating with the local church in carrying out its responsibilities and enjoying all the rights and benefits of the United Church of Jesus Christ (Apostolic)

The women's department follows Christ's teachings by exercising their important influential role in the church home and community. We have the responsibility of training and teaching children at home, church and school. Church women should study together, drinking deeply of the wisdom of God. They must learn more about the Bible and how to apply its teaching and how to live together in everyday life. The missionary effort of the women's department is to assist those who need help, healing and/or happiness whether spiritual or physical. Much of our Women's Work involves events as fund-raising, missions, education, and other programs of the United Church of Jesus Christ (Apostolic), at the national and local levels. The devotional development is a primary purpose of the Women's Department. We provide a good opportunity for learning how to worship, how to read the Bible, and how to pray and speak in public and private. In the area of evangelism, the women's department has a great concern for soul winning. This is demonstrated through their competency as Christian Workers at home and abroad. Every opportunity for the training and full utilization of sincere and consecrated women is developed throughout the United Churches of Jesus Christ (Apostolic).

Nothing in the Department of Women's Work is in any way meant to deter, but to give directions to those women who believe that they have received special anointing from the Lord to participate effectively and efficiently in the Christian ministry and in the ministry of the United Church of Jesus Christ (Apostolic), in all its forms.
